Half-Day Hikes

Mountain Climbers

Waterville Valley is home to the oldest network of hiking trails in the northeast. The trails, maintained by the historic hiking club, The Waterville Valley Athletic and Improvement Association [WVAIA], founded in 1888, offer a wide variety of natural phenomena to enjoy: views, cascades, geological sights, wildlife, wildflowers, mushrooms, and all within a two-hour moderate hike from the valley floor.

Crossing River

The brevity of these hikes allows for plenty of time to stop and learn about the abundance of wild flora in the valley, explore rock caverns, and for those willing to brave the chilly waters, you can take a dip in a mountain stream.
